Who Whop suits
Creators selling memberships, communities, courses and digital products who want storefront, access control and payments in one place.
On the calculator's two reference payments, Whop takes 5.16% of $5,000.00 from a US client to a Spanish business, and 2.73% of €1,000.00 between Germany and Spain, where there is no currency to convert.
What to watch out for
- International cards and currency conversion each add a percentage on top of the base rate.
- It is not a merchant of record by default; tax handling is a paid add-on.
- Withdrawals cost extra per payout, and the fee depends on the method and country. A single-payment calculator does not spread that cost.
How to pay less with Whop
- Withdraw less often, in larger amounts, so the per-payout fee weighs less.
- Price in your buyers' main currency to avoid the conversion percentage where you can.
- Add the tax add-on to your comparison if you would otherwise need a merchant of record.
