Who Revolut Business suits

Small businesses that already bank with Revolut Business and receive transfers in several currencies. Conversions inside the plan allowance are at the interbank rate, which is hard to beat on small monthly amounts.

On the calculator's two reference payments, Revolut Business takes 0.6% of $5,000.00 from a US client to a Spanish business, and 0% of €1,000.00 between Germany and Spain, where there is no currency to convert.

What to watch out for

  • The free conversion allowance depends on your plan. Above it, a percentage applies, and it is higher outside market hours, such as at weekends.
  • The calculator uses the above-allowance rate so a large invoice is not understated, and it does not include the monthly plan fee.
  • Like Wise, it is modelled here for bank transfers, not card acceptance.

How to pay less with Revolut Business

  • Convert on weekdays during market hours.
  • Keep large conversions inside the allowance by spreading them across months, or pick a plan whose allowance matches your volume.
  • Count the plan fee in your cost: on small volumes it can outweigh the conversion saving.

Revolut Business fees: questions

What are Revolut Business fees?

Revolut Business charges a monthly plan fee and converts currencies at the interbank rate up to the plan's monthly allowance (€1,000 on the €10-a-month Basic plan). Above it, conversions cost 0.6%, and 1% outside market hours such as weekends. Receiving local transfers in the currencies it supports is free.

How much does Revolut Business take from a $5,000 client payment?

Converted into euros above the allowance, $30.00. The monthly plan fee comes on top and is not included in that figure.

Is Revolut Business cheaper than Wise?

Per conversion above the allowance, no: 0.6% against 0.29% at Wise from dollars to euros. Inside the allowance Revolut converts for free, but you pay the plan.
